Warwickshire Members of Youth Parliament

Established 25 years ago, the UK Youth Parliament is made up of more than 300 young people aged between 11 and 18 years, elected as Members of Youth Parliament (MYPs) to represent the views of their peers. It provides opportunities for young people to bring about social change through meaningful representation and campaigning. Who can get involved

  • Young people aged 11 to 17: can apply to become Members of Youth Parliament.
  • Young people aged 11 to 17: can vote bi-annually for three Members of Youth Parliament to represent them at a local, regional and national level.

What is involved

  • Represent the young people of Warwickshire.
  • Serve a 2-year term and campaign around the top issues voted for by young people as part of the Warwickshire Youth Council Election.
  • Attend monthly meetings.
  • Attend regional and national events.
