I am very passionate and believe that the voices of young people are important and should be heard in decision-making processes that affect our lives. together we can make a real difference in our local community by tackling issues that matter to us most.
Isaac S, 12
In this role I will bring every idea to be considered, as well as raising issues that are important to my peers, because I believe bridging the gap between the child's creative mind and the adult’s practical one is the best way to solve the problems in the world today.
Meredith Y, 14
I am confident, proactive and passionate on issues surrounding crime and safety, climate and sustainability, cost of living and mental health. I will ensure all youth voices from across Warwickshire will be represented. I am kind and approachable and you can always be sure that your voice is being heard.
Ben F, 12
Everyone loves playing on computers, I’m no different, but we need to make sure that we’re safe online, as well as having fun! I also think that our mental health is very important because that’s what keeps us happy! Having an education is also super important it gives us opportunities.
Katy M-B, 14
I am currently a member of the youth council and enjoy the opportunities to represent others and help young people’s voices be heard and changes be made. My main points currently are accessible mental health resources in all schools and safe spaces for teens to hang out in.
Gisele H, 13
Hi everyone, My name is Gisele. I go to school in Rugby and I would like to be a member of the Warwickshire Youth Council because I want to have that experience in life that I can both look back on as a great meory and add to things like college applications. I would be a great chance to develop and learn new skills as well as meet new people and make some friends!
I would be the best oppurtunity as well to get to represent the young people of Warwickshire where they don't have a voice. The issues that are most important to me are child abuse, the way students act and are treated in school and cost of living crisis. I have experience in all three and would love to share my stories, opinions and views but I also love to listen to others!
P.S. I love cats and dogs so much!!! Please vote for me! Thank you so much...
Harry D, 14
i would like to become a warwickshire youth council member to help young children with there mental health, as a person who has had a decline in mental health in the last year I think that I would be suited to helping other young people with there mental health issues and/or concerns.
Ashleigh M, 16
My name is Ashleigh, I'm 16 years old, outgoing, opinionated and aspirational. My biggest goal in life is to make a difference to the world, and to advocate for those who cannot themselves, by channelling their voices with my own.
