Warwickshire 2024 Youth Elections - vote now!
Warwick II
These are the next 9 candidates in the Warwick area:
Seth W, 12
I think I’d be a good candidate because of two reasons. Now, I wouldn’t go say oh I’m super athletic or I’m the perfect child so vote for me. Ok I’m not perfect but, I’m a good listener and the second reason is that I care. I care for people who are struggling. Because you never know, anybody can end up like that. That’s why it’s so important. So please vote for me. And I’ll make sure that nobody ends up like that. Thank you.
Aleena K, 12
Heyyy, I'm Aleena, aged 12 and a Jewellery Designer. I love creativity; inspiring change by listening to the needs of others. I have passion in everything I involve myself in, and once you get to know me, and I hear your needs, I take your views and discuss them for change to happen. I love to lead change, either in my role as a public services Cadet, an Artist raising awareness through canvas painting, to protecting the health & safety of unwanted cats. My work efforts mean everything to me when representing you at Panel meetings.
Izza S, 13
I would love to be in the WYC as I have had past experience working there before and it was amazing! I believe that some things these days should come to light, mental health is only one of the many others out there such as schools. Young people don't always get a say in things, but this is our future and I want to be their voice and make sure we are heard! I love working with new people, facing challenges and putting a smile on people's faces. Everyone matters : )
Aarav W, 13
I would like to talk about is exam stress. There are many students who struggle with this maybe due the amount of studies you have to do to be well prepared. To help this there are many activities you can do to help you stay more focused and relaxed while you are preparing for a specific exam. You can add lunchtime revision clubs where there will be a quite space and maybe a teacher that will help you with this.
Madeline A, 16
I have seen and in some cases personally experienced the lack of care in certain areas of public infrastructure. My carefully targeted areas of concern are designed to have maximum impact to uplevel the disadvantaged in our community.
Raven T, 13
I would like to see improvement in schools, including anti bullying techniques put in place as well as better and interesting venues for school holidays to keep children of all ages up with social and communication skills.
Jiteesh V K, 14
I would like to stand for the council so that I can help to tackle important issues such as climate change and sustainability. As a South Asian I would also like to help solve the problem of diversity so that more young people with different backgrounds can truly fulfil themselves.
Phoebe M, 13
STOP! LOOK! LISTEN! THINK! We are all important some of us have hidden disabilities but we all matter. We all need an education but some children are missing out because they don't have the right support in school.
Chloe J, 15
Do tbh.
